New Wave Twin Fin Team Edition
Names: Jean Seb & Hélène
FBC Center: FBC St Martin – Windy Reef
Favourite Boards: Fanatic NewWave Twin 72 AND 78
Why ?
- First impressions count: both boards have a very nice overall look and finish, an absolute eye catcher that immediately gets interest and questions from even non windsurfers.
- The volume distribution is totally balanced, with enough forward volume for early planing and clean back loop landings, and with little volume on the tail, which allows insane curves on the face of the wave, on the face of any wave actually.

- The combined tail shape, thin rails and well defined double concave simply allow you to surf as if you didn’t have any sail in your hands. The NewWave Twins are true natural born wave riding toys that let you focus only on the main thing: the way you want to exploit and shred the wave. Who needs more?
- Overall, the NewWave Twins are far away from being a Marketing Gimmick. Their shape is quite the complete opposite, one of the most performing concepts ever, allowing both the most radical riders to express themselves at their fullest while remaining super accessible for less experienced riders. More specifically on our spot with on-side/on prevailing conditions, and where we ride both front side and back side, the New Wave Twins keep their speed and let you literally dance on the water. Another dimension and level of performance compared to what single-fin boards accustomed us to dream of.

- All this delivered with the usual top of the art comfort level of all Fanatic boards. Merry Christmas every one and thanks Mr. Wenzel for a board like we haven’t seen in many many years!
Favourite Moves:
- JS: lay-down bottom turns, snappy cutbacks, aerials in a pocket and Rodeo flips re-entry.

- Helene: same aspirations in terms of riding, a touch less radical (no rodeo flip yet), but with all the elegance and the smoothness girls who can ride know to display in waves
Best wind: 14 to 22 knots
Best sails: North Sails 2009 Ego 5,0 and Ice 5,3
Trim Tips: Mastfoot 2/3 of the way forward, jump on, step in, get flying and enjoy!
