New Wave Team Edition Twin Fin
Name: Marie Rey
FBC Center: FBC Lanzarote
Favourite Board: Allwave 82
Why? I am not the most technical sailor and I am very light. Here at FBC Lanzarote, we have flat water, a bit of bump and jump and nice easy waves to jump and ride. The waves get big sometimes – up to 3m – but are not too powerful and fast, but they do generate quite a bit of white water.

For me, the Allwave 82 is my light wind board and I use it with 3 - 4 beaufort. The other instructor here uses it for stronger winds (4-6) and loves it for the same reasons:
- It planes really early and is very stable. If the wind is a bit gusty it planes right through the wind holes.
- I don’t do much freestyle but find that it turns super well, whatever the radius of my turns are, whether in the waves or the flat section before the waves. Tacking can be a bit tricky as the board is short.
- In euro wave conditions it is really easy to get through the white water and the board has a very nice pop – makes me feel better than I really am!
- The same goes for riding waves, and I really am not over technical but I love to have fun on the water and with the Allwave 82 it is guaranteed every time!

Try it – it’s simple and it works. No time for headaches – just fun and adrenaline – that’s my programme!!
Favourite Move: Jibing full speed on the face of the wave!
Best Wind: 4 Beaufort
Ideal Sail: 4.7 Neil Pryde Combat and Zone
Trim Tips: In terms of trimming I just put the mast plate in the middle, adjust the straps to my tiny feet and sail away!
