FAVOURITE BOARD:   Skate 107

WHY?  I am 90 kilos and volume of the Skate 107 is just perfect for my weight. The board planes very quickly and has a good grip, you feel confident when initiating any carving manoeuvre,
the board just bites the water right and the fin is excellent. It is easy to control and versatile too – I can also take it happily on the wave or change the fin and go freeriding. Finally, it has a good impact absorption off of the wave, which came as a nice surprise when you consider how stiff the board is.
I thought at the beginning that the wider tail would be a problem but that is not the case, it actually
generates the pop that makes it so fun.

FAVOURITE MOVE: Heli Tack

BEST WIND: 13 to 20 knots

IDEAL SAIL: 5.9 Duke

TRIM TIPS: Position the straps outboard for strong wind and lightwind freestyle.
