Location: Riad Al Zahia in Essaouira is truly one of the most charming places you will find in the heart of the Medina. It is conveniently located in a little alley, close to shops and restaurants. The beach is just a 5 minutes’ walk away. It is also just a 3 minutes walk to the taxi stand or the Moulay shuttle meeting point.  

Amenities and facilities: The Riad has a typical Moroccan structure with all rooms facing the courtyard. A fountain provides a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.
The cozy saloon with fireplace or the open lounge is a great place to enjoy the delicious sweet mint tea. Fre WiFi is available at the lounge as well. The large rooftop terrace with its 360º view over the medina and the ocean is the perfect spot to enjoy the breakfast, relax in the sun chairs during the day or enjoy the sunset over the Medina.

Rooms: The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated in different Moroccan styles. All guestrooms are equipped with one double bed (140 cm) or twin beds, shower/WC, heating and a sofa bed. Natural air conditioning is provided through the courtyard. There are also three 2-bedroom suites, each unit with one double and two twin beds - perfectly suitable for families. They are also furnished with Moroccan antiques. The suites have windows facing the medina (no view). Please note none of the rooms feature television, in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere.
Only the traditional and modern style Honeymoon Suite Zahia offers satellite TV/DVD as well as a comfortable Hammam bathroom.

Our opion: Very cozy accommodation and great service right in the heart of the medina. You can enjoy walking through the alleys at nights while taking in the Moroccan lifestyle. The right place for night owls.
