19|03|08 +++ Morocco - Dakhla Festival
After the storming success of last years event, the second Dakhla Festival took place from 28th February to 3rd March, again to an enthusiastic crowd with increasing numbers.
Bruno from FBC Morocco took a 1500km road trip south, along with 14 local windsurfers from Essaouira and Moulay to take place in the unique event – “The Dakhla Long Distance” - a 40km race to the beach!
The Festival is a transcultural event with windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing and heaps of live and diverse music. A camp was based at the surf spot of Foum Labouir where many of the musicians, competitors and spectators were staying, and a free shuttle service to the night concerts was also laid on by the organisers. The event was again a huge success and we look forward to next year……….
