Some of you have been wondering where the wind is lately – well now we can tell you - it’s at FBC MARTINIQUE! It’s blowing 25 knots every day – pretty good timing really since the Olympic French windsurfing team have been training hard there lately. FBC Martinique is a super spot for freeride/slalom windsurfing, as well as kiting, and new since this winter SUP – with warm water and beautiful scenery it’s a great place to escape the winter blues. The center is having a bit of a facelift right now, and rebuilding the wooden deck area and the jetty – photos coming soon! We will pass by by Martinique next month - so stay tuned for an exclusive spot report and photos!

After a 10 year partnership with Neil Pryde, this year FBC MOULAY will change over to North Sails (Ice and Duke) with 75% carbon masts. Added to this the center will have all new booms, wetsuits and harnesses, as well as SUP and surf from FANATIC, so you can make the most of the famous Moulay waves on any day! After the huge success of the Fanatic Pro Camps at FBC Moulay in 2009 and 2010, we are proud to announce a double dose for 2011. Take a look at the clip from last year’s event HERE. The center will open 1st March for another perfect season of wind and waves.

FBC LANZAROTE are well into SUP, and our friend Russell Groves “The Wave Hobbit” has created a full and comprehensive SUP training program on his fantastic new website. The guys at FBC ST. MARTIN are having a great time right now and have been enjoying non-stop wind for the last 2 months! Windsurfing, surfing, SUP and kiting are all on offer at this tropical spot. New this month, the kitesurfing beginner lessons are now being held at “Baie Lucas” which is a perfect, secluded, shallow area close to the center, and shortly the center will take delivery of a new boat so that advanced kite lessons can take place at Orient Bay or Cul de Sac – opening up the amount of spots for all levels. All this on new 2011 North Kiteboarding kit, with a fantastic kite instructor who speaks French, English and Spanish and who will guarantee your quick addiction to kiting. FBC SAMOS are stepping up their service and making life even better for their guests this season. There will be walkie-talkies and waterproof bags available free of charge to anybody who would like to make use of them, ensuring absolute safety on this unlimited windsurfing area. Also this season, the launch which was built last year to make entry and exit to the water easier will be further improved and enlarged, so you can leave your shoes at home! The center will open 20th April and Giorgos and his team look forward to welcoming you to this family-friendly spot, which only closes in the evening when the last person comes off of the water!

As you must know by now, FBC KOS is relocating to a better spot upwind this summer and will now be offering kitesurfing lessons and supervision. Also new for this season - VDWS certificates will be issued to all completing a beginners course. Norbert Jandl, Chief Instructor will once again be running his excellent kids camps, as well as an “Old School Moves” Camp – full details HERE .
