| Description | Fanatic Ripper Tour Poland big success! Sixty nine young competitors in five editions of Ripper Tour Poland have finished their contest on the most famous Polish windsurfing spot – Hel Peninsula. Every summer thousands of people windsurf there – the windiest place in Poland. Fanatic (main sponsor) and Fun Wind, Polish importer of Fanatic (organizer) have prepared five stages of regatta. All of the competitors (in the age of 8 to 12 years) were using Fanatic Rippers with various kinds of rigs supplied by the organizer. Two boys: FIDO and WESOLOWSKI were always on top. The last, decisive stage took place in Fun Wind Windsurfing School. Finally WESOLOWSKI has won the main prize – Fanatic ripper board. Other competitors got lots of cups, diplomas, stickers and high attractive Ripper Regatta T-shirts. Special guests: STEVE ALLEN, WOJTEK BRZOZOWSKI and DOROTA STASZEWSKA added splendour to the regatta by presenting the winners with their prizes. What’s more, CHEO and GOLLITOo, two famous freestylers from Venezuela (second and third in WC), arrived for the last stage. Cheo made a great surprise for everybody: he gave his WC winning board as a main prize in freestyle contest organized right after Ripper Tour last stage. Again Olek WESOLOWSKI was the best. In the evening there was a great beach party for competitors, their parents and fans. Everybody was hoping to meet again on such regatta next season. Tomasz Saciuk www.oddech.pl |
